What Is Vintaj Natural Brass At Beadology?
Vintaj Natural Brass are 100% natural brass findings, filigrees, beads, charms, and chains that have gone thru a meticulous, 7-step hand-embellished process that is environmentally friendly, enhancing the natural beauty of the brass.
With this labor intensive method, a rich distinctive color emerges identical to finely aged vintage brass jewelry. Intricate details, fine-lined etching, and bold raised relief design captivate the designer, and are just a few qualities of these unique findings. No matter what your style; Victorian, romantic, eclectic, or contemporary, your beads will take on a whole new dimension with these artful elements.
Vintaj products are not antique plated or chemically treated and are nickel-free. The Vintaj process is their highly guarded trade secret that makes their products completely unique. The Vintaj Natural Brass Company is the dream fulfilled of three women-sisters Wendy Mullane and Jeanne Holland, along with their friend, Jess Italia-Lincoln. Born of kindred spirits, the three were brought together thru their passion for jewelry design in a place offering natural beauty, history, and inspiration-the small, eclectic and art-inspiring town of Galena Illinois.
The spark ignited in the spring of 2001 when Wendy and Jeanne were teaching jewelry design to their church group. Jeanne playfully opened a filigree ball and wrapped it around a glass stone. They immediately realized the potential of what they now call, “Creative Settings”. Jess completed the circle with her passion of unique designs and had a perfect opportunity to market the findings she co-owns at Galena Beads. Together they watched how customers reacted to the findings and how Galena Beads 20 jewelry artists designed with them.
Vintaj is now reaching world wide markets and is growing rapidly. Sharing creativity has certainly built this unique company. Designers around the word are exploring ways to use Vintaj components and can be seen in every bead publication in some unusual way.
